Formulas Reference
Voltage (V)
V = I × R
V = P / I
V = √(P × R)
Current (I)
I = V / R
I = P / V
I = √(P / R)
Resistance (R)
R = V / I
R = V² / P
R = P / I²
Power (P)
P = V × I
P = I² × R
P = V² / R
Analogy for Beginners
Think of water flowing through a pipe:
- Voltage (Volts) is the Water Pressure pushing the water.
- Current (Amps) is the Flow Rate (how much water moves per second).
- Resistance (Ohms) is the Pipe Size (smaller pipe = more resistance).
If you increase pressure (Voltage) without changing pipe size (Resistance), flow (Current) increases.
